EMRT Explained

EMRT addresses the horse’s body at all levels helping to correct any imbalances that have occurred. Some of the benefits are listed below:

  • EMRT can help with muscular pain, stiffness and unlevelness, releasing the stress build-up in the muscles and any old compensatory patterns of holding within the body. This in turn can help improve gait and quality of performance.
  • EMRT detoxifies the body, helps to boost the immune system and improves general circulation and joint mobility.
  • EMRT promotes overall general health and is deeply relaxing.
  • EMRT can be beneficial immediately following trauma.
  • EMRT can be used for pre and post competition maintenance.

Veterinary permission is always requested prior to treatment.

Each treatment involves a thorough visual assessment of the horse and simple palpation tests are carried out to assess the muscular, skeletal and nervous state of the horse. A thorough case history is also taken and recorded for future reference.

A treatment will normally take approximately one hour during which a series on hand-on moves are made across the horses body. Usually the practitioner works alone with the horse, leaving short pauses in between the treatment to allow the body to respond to the work being done. We usually recommend the horse has three treatments to see the full benefit of EMRT. However, some horses may require further treatments. All treatments are tailored to the individual horse's requirements.

EMRT is used internationally for medal winning teams and individuals and is the therapy allowed by the FEI and EFA to be used on the day of the event. EMRT has fifteen years of research behind the therapy.

EMRT does not replace veterinary treatment.
